When you start taking notes during your life you have to find the kind of notebook that you like. There are three kinds of notebooks you might wish to consider
Pulse Smartpen notebooks
If you are using the Pulse smartpen then you are using a set of notebook that the pen can uae. They come in a variety of configurations. My favorite is are the notebooks with the wire binding. This paper can be zipped out and stored in a three ring binder, or can be recycled as long as you have that page in the pen, or in the livescribe desktop
Moleskine
This is the notebook that a lot of people use. In fact there is quite the following for those little notebooks. They come in all shapes and sizes but the main deal is that they have an elastic band to keep the notebook closed(except for the paper backed cahier notebooks), a pocket inside the back cover, and a goodly number of blank or lined paper. The Notebooks also have acid free paper and are designed for archiving. The benefit of using these is that there is all manner of shapes and sizes.
Research Notebooks
I like the notebooks that are called Research or Lab notebooks. These are usually hardbound book with archival quality of paper. These notebooks are like the record notebooks you can get from some accounting paper or office supply stores. The main difference is that each page contains some sort of witness sign off. These are great for keeping track of when you thought of something. I don’t use it for that, though. The ones I’ve used have come from Book factory.
These are some of the notebook systems I have used. I currently use the Pulse Smartpen paper, as I am the smartpen for taking notes.
