LHC Runs Rings around particles this weekend

Ars Technica has an article concerning the LHC in CERN. This weekend saw the Huge money pit experiment finally running particles through it’s tunnels. It also produced some collisions, but they were not at the energy levels that they will be doing next year.

What does this have to do with Tech? These people think that they might be able to generate the primordial particle soup that was the Universe at just seconds after the big bang. Questions are going to be answered. That’s what we humans do.
