I looked at the body of work I did this week on the site and find that I did a lot of work on OpenOffice Base. So, let’s get right down to it and review the week on the site.
Monday began innocuous enough where I made a discovery and revealed it to the reader. OpenOffice Base can be your MS Access replacement. I also made sure to indicate that its price was a major contribution to my statement. Well I got challenged via Twitter about my statement. I was not angry with anything said, rather I felt challenged by certain statements made to me on Twitter.
Tuesday brought on the next topic, which is How I use Twitter. I answered that question by really letting people know my strategy which is to let people find me on their own. I could have gone and purchased my followers, but I wanted my followers to stick around for the long haul. I also indicated that my policy is if you follow me, I follow you. That’s why my followers and followees are roughly equal.
On Wednesday, after stewing for a couple of days about the Twitter comment, I wrote the first of my rebuttal posts which dominated the blog this week. The first was one where i reviewed how to make tables using the Table Wizard in OpenOffice. I also set a personal record for the number of images in a single post. It was at 2 now it’s three.
Then Thursday I talked about how to create forms using the form wizard. I also set a personal record at the number of images at 7.
Friday I wrapped up the OpenOffice Basic Series with the ever popular Creating Report using the Report Wizard from OpenOffice base. This post did wrap up that Basic series so well, that I am planning to delve a little more deeply into the mysteries of Database, but not at the detriment of of other topics that I want to cover.
Friday I got a bit of bad news. It seems that once more I have to gallop off the County Court House and serve–this time–on a grand jury. Right now I am still prospective Grand Juror, but with My luck I might be selected. That is the only bad news, so I am feeling pretty good. I also learned that there is indeed an off switch to my wireless keyboard, so I am back to wirelessly keyboarding. Yeeehaaa. See, I told you I am a TechWarrior Geek.
I have been thinking long an hard about the coming iPad, and I have some more thoughts about this product. I will be sharing that with you. I think I have a solution for magazines and newspapers. It might blow you socks off. I’ll leave you with that, and say do good work, and be prepared.
