Well I have just spent 24 days with the Magic Mouse. My previous post was made in the first blush of use, and now I have a bit more experience under my belt. Find out how the Magic Mouse fared after 24 days of use after the break.

The Magic Mouse has made my TechWarrior gear bag list on my pack ups. After 24 days I am ready to say that the Mouse is coming with me everywhere I go. There are few caveats to go through.
The first thing I want to say is turn your mouse off when not in use. About two weeks ago I had to replace the batteries. These were the original batteries that came with the mouse. They were installed in the mouse already. That’s not like conducive to battery life, in my opinion. When I am in my office I leave the computer on all day so that I can write things on my blog, journal, or books. So I leave the wireless keyboard and mouse on even if I am not using it. I have noticed that my keyboard and mouse batteries last longer when I turn these devices off when I leave the office for the day.
The use of the mouse does take some getting used to. I went ahead and made the mouse understand left click and right click. I do like the zoom function I can get with the mouse. It is smaller in over all size than the Targus bluetooth mouse. I thought I would get more hand cramps from using the low profile mouse, but that has not been so.
There has been the somewhat aggravating tendency for the mouse to not understand the right click, but I think that is the way I hold my hand on the mouse. I am probably huddling my hand over the mouse and it can’t read a right click because my and is also touching the top of the mouse.
I do wish for a little more weight on the mouse, but it seems that all of Apple’s mouse products are trying to be as light as possible. Other than these few quibble’s the Magic Mouse is a keeper
