I’ve done 43 folders with other note taking products, now it’s time do it EagleFiler Style. More information on using EagleFiler with the 43 folder system after the break.

Remember that the 43 folders is a system of prioritizing and organizing things to do based on day and the month. We put things that we want to do in a month folder. When we get to that month we assign whatever is in that folder into a particular day folder. When we hit that day in the current month, we open the folder and do what ever is in it. That’s the simple explanation of the 43 folder system.

it is the basis of the getting things done system. It works but getting the folders build is a big problem. Well I have build a 43 folder library for EagleFiler. Feel free to download it here. Unzip the file to your hard drive and tell Eaglefiler to open the library. navigate to where you expanded the 43 folders and select the library file. The library should open and you got the 43 folder system ready to go.

I built this library to add another organizational level by grouping the day folders together in a day folder, and the months are in their own months folder. Now all you need to do is scan in the documents like bills and invoices and then put them int he correct month. And then move them from the month to the correct day when we move into a new months.

For a lot of people just getting the folders built is half the battle. I did that half, now do yours.

Thanks — I’m giving this a try. Just downloaded EagleFiler today, and using it in the trial mode, but so far I’m quite impressed and think this will definitely be very helpful for me.

I think a lot of people are finding out just how flexible EagleFiler can be. This 43 Folders post should have been done by me earlier.

Thanks for the comment
