I am definitely going to get an iPad. My bad experience with first day lines with my iPhone 3GS will prevent my getting it opening day. However, some time this year I will get one. So, what will I get with my iPad? The answer to that after the break.
This is an interesting topic in that Apple is producing these accessories ahead of the 3rd party market. I think that they think these are important accessories. there are three accessories that might be important to me. The order in which I will get them is the order I will mention them.
The first accessory I will get is the case. My reasons for this is that the glass will be fragile, and the iPad will be banging around in my TechnoWarrior bag, so I need the protection. The other reasons are that it will work like an easel even allowing me to use the virtual keyboard at a good angle. I intend to take this baby with me on long flights so that I can watch movies and some TV shows. The case will enable me to watch the movies at a pleasant angle. So the case will be the first thing.
The next accessory will be the keyboard dock. My goal is to not need the laptop on short trips, but I need a way to keep up with the blog and using the virtual keyboard for long periods might be a pain. The keyboard dock will come in handy when I need to edit some iWork documents or writing my blog entries.
The last accessory is not shown, because it is not all that flashy, but it might come in handy for my profession. It is the dock connector adapter for VGA graphics displays. This adaptor will let me use my iPad for presentations, or that is the promise. just hope that my bluetooth presentation remote will have a driver for the iPad, so that I can get out from behind the lectern as I like to do.
