Using Magic Move in Keynote for something special

You should know by now that if given the leeway my slide shows would be minimalistic and elegant. While I always go for that sometimes the software let me down. I learned something that I was missing by trying to do the animations my way. What I learned after the break.

In my slide shows the words come on screen to emphasize the point. That means that I need a single button push on my bluetooth Presenter to cause the action ot happen. i was trying to animate that by using actions and transitions. What I wanted was the magic move transition from one slide to the next.

I know, I know. Magic moves elements around on a slide. Copy a slide and then move elements on the copied slide, and the magic move transition will move those objects from the first slide’s position to the second slide’s transition.

I wondered what the transition would look like if I had two slide with no graphics and two text boxes. One text box on the first slide, with just the second text box on the second slide. When zi played the transition between these two slide the first text box eased out with the second text box easing in at the same time.

If I have the text boxes at the same location on the two slides, it looks like a transposition effect. If I put them at two different locations relative each other, then thee is a kind of fade in and out effect. This is done with two slides and the magic motion transition effect. This is perfect for my using the slide show to emphasize certain points, byt their sudden appearance. If I slip an empty slide between the two slides with text, the words appear, disappear, and new words then appear.

If you like to present like I do, then use Magic motion transition between two slides with just text. My text Transition with just one push of a button on my presenter.
