PlayTime: Plants Vs Zombies on iPhone

Very rarely does a game ever make me smile, and can keep me entertained for a long time. The most recent game that has accomplished this is a little game called Plants vs. Zombies. I downloaded the trial version and within three level had bought the game. Now they have come up with an iPhone version. Read about that after the break.

This is essentially the same game as the computer with the mini games removed. On my 3GS it played very well even with a lot of zombies and peas flying around.

The music is the same which is a good thing. It has that creepy and bright feeling, like the Addams family meets the Partridge family.

The cool thing about this game is that it is very re-playable. Most tower defense style games fall into that category. At least they are re-playable by me. I like to try different strategies and find that one perfect strategy that seems to work.

There are some concerns for playing this game on the earlier iPhones. A few people have reported slow downs on the previous iPhone platforms. I have no doubt that Popcap games is working on tweaks to make it work with the majority of iPhones. I wonder if they are preparing a iPad version?

While I have your attention. There was a game in the mid 90′s that really caught my imagination. It was called DungeonKeeper. I’d really like to see a dust off of that property for both Mac and PC.

If you liked Plants vs Zombies and want a version for your iPhone, this is a definite buy.
