ABC Player update now live with 3G streaming, landscape support | iLounge News

iLounge says:

In addition to allowing video content to be streamed over a 3G data connection, the update also supports landscape orientation in all views and proper handling of the iPad’s orientation lock.

I’ve been of the conviction that the only wire to your house will be the internet. That may not be true when WiMax get the throughput its been promising. I really think that the local TV stations will go the way of newspapers. Why look in local news when I can get the world streamed on my digital device, where and when I want it? ABC now makes it possible to make better use of the 3G capabilities, read downgrading video quality. There’s also afew tweaks to the ap to use the iPad better.
