I realized that I had left out another reason to use the EagleFiler and PDFPen system. I will discuss that after the break.
There is one other reason to use the PDFPen with EagleFiler. If you bought DevonThink with ODR support you just get OCR for the pdf and nothing else. You don’t even get the ability to OCR out of the App. For a lot less than DevonThink you get both EagleFiler and the PDFPen.
PDFPen gives you the ability to do alot more than just OCR our PDF scans. You can also make forms out of them, even if they were not saved as forms. You can edit the PDF to fix any glaring spelling errors and grammar.
So, there is another benefit to using these two tools together instead of buying one monolithic application.
