Hello!

I am a Python and ‘C’ certified developer and can help you learn how to code and solve problems using Python or ‘C’! During my career, I have written some of the original Unix device drivers when I worked at Bell Labs and taught others how to do it. I graduated from Texas AM University in College Station, Texas, with a PhD degree focusing on Physics and Oceanography. During my academic career, I was a teaching assistant for my major professor, teaching classes, and grading homework assignments. I realized my true love was computer coding after completing my dissertation, It was a landmark document and computer program (Fortran) that was referenced and used many times since I published it. After graduation, I started my career as a researcher at ATT Bell Labs, working on a large-scale data storage system using the ‘C’ and C++ programming languages.

As my career progressed into leadership roles and executive management, I hired and helped dozens of my employees with coding and technology. Now, I continue to code on a consulting basis because I love it and love to learn! I completed my Python certification and will continue to learn more about Python and related technologies.

When I teach, I must understand the strengths and weaknesses of each student very quickly since everyone has a unique learning style. I’ll do this in such a way that makes it fun for everyone by playing some simple games. I’ll also incorporate the student’s lifestyle, goals, and ambitions into the learning agenda for each lesson. I will make each session worthwhile, and, of course, lots of practice helps!

When I’m not tutoring, I’m learning more about technology, staying active with DIY projects in my gardens, enjoying nature, swimming, hiking, going to the gym, and attending the theater (ballet and classical music).
